Our Mission: Providing the love of Christ through Engineering

Our Mission

The Catholic Engineering Corps shares the love of Christ by addressing both the spiritual and physical needs of vulnerable communities through sustainable engineering solutions. Through our Catholic humanitarian projects, we are guided by Christian values to provide technical expertise that ensures these initiatives have a lasting impact, embodying the essence of engineering with faith.

Our Vision

The Catholic Engineering Corps’ vision is to create a world where every community benefits from Catholic humanitarian projects that showcase the transformative love of Christ through sustainable engineering solutions. These solutions empower lives, restore dignity, and foster hope. We envision thriving, resilient communities where spiritual growth and physical well-being are nurtured, and where our technical expertise—rooted in engineering with faith—leaves a lasting legacy of faith, justice, and holistic development.

Our Belief

First, we are missionaries of Jesus Christ, dedicated to engaging in Catholic humanitarian projects. Our instrument for this mission is engineering with faith, as we strive to create sustainable engineering solutions that benefit communities.

The Founding of the Catholic Engineering Corps

The motivation for bringing the love of Jesus throughout the world through engineering begin in 2004. The Catholic Engineering Corps was founded by deacon Joshua Knight, a civil engineer based in Denver, Colorado. After years of God forming him for a new Catholic evangelization engineering organization, the CEC was incorporated in the State of Colorado on May 5, 2025. Archbishop Samuel Aquila blessed the CEC as a Catholic Institution on July 7, 2025. Then, we became an official 501(c)3 Non-Profit, Tax-Deductible organization on August 13, 2025. We are a new organization, but Joshua has been working on this mission of water, disaster response and pastoral ministry since he and his wife, Rachel, became missionaries for three years in Cameroon, Africa in 2004.
